And who could resist a quick rest stop at this glorious Zebra Bench to recharge those batteries!
and then to find a real Zebra in the flesh. You can get so close to the animals and the children can make a connection with the types of animals they like.
Whether it is the affectionate otters…
the slightly startled lemur…
the glorious meerkat striking the ever so famous pose…
Just make sure not to be fooled by the statues and the real thing!
Whether you like big cats…
or you lean more the aquatic side of life…
There is something for everyone. You just have to look, sometimes you need to crouch down low to spy a slightly different creature through a hidden window…
and look at what we found…
Rushing out of the reptile house and back outdoors, we said some camels far away from the deserts we would normally find them in…
and a giant tortoise with a difference! Luckily they let this tortoise come home with us.
but not until he had said goodbye to his friends including Gary the Gorilla!
All the was left was to creep past the sleeping lion…
and sneak behind the yawning lioness…
trek back by the camels and make for the exit and back into the car!
